Moving!

Moving. Hate it, but hopefully this will be the last time! This is why I've been too busy or pre-occupied to post for the last two months! Our house has been empty for over a week now except for a bed and a table! We are camping out! Chris took a u-haul truck of stuff down to GA this past weekend and flew back tonight. We will head out for good next weekend. As for the house, it's been a frustrating 3 months, but at least we tried to sell it on our own. Apparently God is still teaching us patient trust! So many "promising" offers, but no follow-through. So, we'll turn it over to a realtor this week. Keep praying for us!

Summer is for Swimming!

Rylan has really gotten into swimming over the last few weeks! He continues to get braver, now going in to the big pool by himself (on the steps) and jumping arms (not head) first into his blow-up pool! One day he was even up for skinny dipping!

Goodbye Good Friends

After our return from California, the Gould's moved out of their house and into ours for a week. Then they left on a road trip to California, and will soon be crossing the ocean to Hawaii. We can't imagine why they'd wan't to go back there after such a wonderful 3 years here in Fayetteville! In any case, they will be missed. We've been through a lot together during our time here, including becoming parents and surviving deployment. God blessed us, however, in that we got to go through it together! We thank God for knowing them and wish them all the best! Goodbye Lisa, Darin, and Aleksandr!

SEA WORLD SAN DIEGO

Another highlight of our California trip was going to Sea World in San Diego and meeting up with our friends the Yamamotos (no relation) - Sean, Christine and their son Jared who is 1 month older than Rylan! It was a blast, especially since it was FREE with military ID! With only 1 month left in the Army we decided to cash in! Definitely made the $7 lemonade not hurt so much, and was worthwhile as the 2 year olds couldn't really handle more than the 6 hours we were there! We saw the Shamu Show, had lunch, watched dolphins swim, and spent a lot of time at the Sesame Street play area - perfect for the boys! Rylan loved the bouncy area - jumping, throwing the big plastic shapes and knocking over other kids! And he truly enjoyed touching and actually holding his favorite of all sea creatures -- the starfish! Rylan also got to go on his first TWO roller coaster rides with Daddy and wasn't scared at all -- "go again" he said!

Cousins!

Rylan shows love for his new cousin Draysen!

Hotel Bui

One of the best parts of our California trip was staying with my best friend Toan from PUC who has exploded into the restaurant business! He now owns 3 booming restaurants in Redlands and Loma Linda -- Niko Niko sushi, Myung Ga korean barbeque, and Crepe D'lite and Swirls crepe and gelato shop! We enjoyed sampling all of them throughout the week! Rylan got his own monkey crepe and actually ate just about all of it! Yum! Thank you Uncle Toan!

David's Graduation

Our California Trip May 24-June 1 was a blast! The weekend began with my brother's graduation from Loma Linda U. Dental School! Rylan was spoiled with not 1 but 2 lollipops during the 2+ hr ceremony. My in-laws came down and we finally got to meet my precious nephew Draysen!

Beach Trip

Mmmmm, nothing like a cold glass of milk at the beach!!!! (??????)

Now we're ready to shop!!!

May 2008 - our last beach trip with our buddies the Goulds and Kuzmas! What a difference with all our guys home! We had a great time!
