Easter 2010

Easter Sunday turned out to be a busy day! We were invited to a brunch at the Elkins home in the morning, then came back for some egg-hunting! (Rylan and I dyed the egg the night before, and Chris hid them while we went to the brunch!) The kids had a blast, we just had to keep encouraging Ava to continue looking for eggs, instead of stopping to open each of the plastic one with candy inside! Later, that evening, we drove to the airport to pick up my MIL and went out to dinner!

Back to April!

In April, my mother-in-law came for a visit while my mom went out to CA to help out while my new niece, Daniella, was born! The kids took right to her and had a blast every single day! She was also here to help celebrate Rylan's birthday! It was suddenly very hot so they spent a lo of time outside! It's not even officially summer yet and they are already tan! A big thank you to Doreen for helping out so much! We love her!

On the way home from NC in March, we stopped in SC to see my Aunt Rachel and cousin Ashleigh to breakup the trip. My grandma happened to be there and it was Addy's 2nd birthday. We got to meet cousin Colby for the first time! Cousin Jeremy showed up also and we got to meet new cousin Caroline as well! Fun times, and it really made the trip for the kids a lot easier since they got to play with their cousins and run around!

Talking

Ava's vocabulary has exploded over the last few months! It's still so cute and amazing to me to hear her talk, despite being #2! Currently, the cutest things she says are: Ooops!, Where are you (weh aaaah ju?), Cookie (the horse), No way!, I some (i want some!), Don't do dat!, thank you (dah do), no I don't want!, pasa - bankie (paci and blankie!). And a lot she jus will call out names - "Mama, Wyla, Dadda!" Rylan helps her a lot by always saying, "Ava can you say _____?" And she is copying him more and more in words and actions! Just today we took a walk to the mailbox and he started walking backwards, well she turned around and did it too, no problem! They do fight sometimes, usually over a toy or him touching her, but she's very sensitive to him, if he cries she will go over and hug him, kiss him, and pat his head! "Wyla, cwy?" (Rylan's crying?)
