WHAT NEXT?

What a week! We had a couple that seemed really interested in buying our house, they came twice within a week and told us they were very serious. They asked for the weekend to "crunch numbers" and would get back to us on Monday. It's Friday and haven't heard a thing. Our greatest fear is that the reason is some horrible diagnosis, as the wife was dealing with some sudden strange medical symptoms. I'm afraid to call, but otherwise they were very nice people. To top it off, Tuesday my nanny quit. Well, turned in her notice. She got her dream job in real estate which is what she was planning to do once finished working for me, but couldn't pass this up. But what crazy timing, since I really only took this new job to keep her employed! I'm sad and stressed! Enter Craigslist, which I've never used before. I put an ad in Wednesday morning and BOOM! I had over 40 applicants within 24 hours! So, as if I had nothing else to do, I'm now interviewing nannies to cover the next 9 weeks! But I know God is in control, and these are all just opportunities to let HIM shine! Thank you Lord!

Rylan turns 2!

Somehow, the pudgy little baby with the fat cheeks and big dimples has turned into a boy! We can't believe Rylan is 2! April 10th went by relatively uneventful and uncelebrated as I had to work, although somehow Rylan knew it was a special day as he felt it his right to skip his nap! My mom was here for the week and we had a party on the 13th with lots of friends who showed up! We had a great time with a Veggie Tales party -- lots of veggies and "dip", pizza (pizza angel) and my attempt at Bob and Larry atop yet another Baskin Robbins ice cream cake! (Why bake when you can decorate a twinkie and the top of a muffin?) The kids had a blast jumping in the bouncer that our friends Jeremy and Jasmine brought over (they own it!) and were so entertained that we didn't even have time to watch a Veggie Tales video! We practiced for days singing Happy Birthday and avoided clapping afterwards so Rylan made it throught the song without crying this year! He finally blew out his candle after about 10 tries (he had it down during Christmas but somehow has gotten into more spitting than blowing!). Anyway, thanks to my mom and everyone who came to celebrate! Rylan received tons more toys but the only one he's gotten to open so far is the mini dirt devil which he loves! Thank you Lord for our precious boy! Terrible twos, here we come!
