Young Photographer

Rylan decided to start taking some pictures on his own the other day! Here are the few that weren't completely thumbs!

HOUSE UPDATE

The house is fully bricked and there is only a bit of stonework left on the front! These pictures are from about two weeks ago and I have to get new ones but it's raining! Anyway, the inside is being roughed in for inspection, then they can start the sheetrock. Here is a photo of my entryway into the dining room! Saw it on an ikea ad, what do y'all think?

BROOKS VISIT

We were blessed to have a visit from some Fayetteville friends - the Brooks! Well, they're basically family! Rylan was SOOO excited to see Sherry and Nick and Larry! He asked about them for weeks before they came! We had a very good time and hope to see them again soon! Sharon is like grandma #3 and it was her first time seeing Ava! And Nick and Rylan are like brothers, couldn't tell it had been over 6 months since they had seen eachother!

CIRCUS

Woman on horse - did about 2 tricks.

Jugglers -- pretty good, even with fire!

Snow cone -- not sure about this.

Here goes......

Mmmmm, dig in!!!

Winding up the pooch!

Here he goes!

Woo hoo!!!

Ava had the best seat in the house!!!

What in the world?

Elephants.....

Big animals.....

Big POOP!

The circus came to Calhoun! Ok, so it was only 1 ring, but actually that is PERFECT for a 2 y/o and there wasn't a bad seat in the house!! Admission was $15 for adult with 2 kids free! My mom came too and I didn't have enough cash on me but they let her in anyway! We really had a lot of fun and the animals were great! Especially the dog in the stuffed elephant costume who could play dead and go limp on command, was amazing! We all had fun!

FINALLY A POST!

I can't believe it's been a whole month since I posted! We've been extremely busy with house stuff, work and kids. Plus battling the latest round of illness -- including the flu for everyone, pink eye for all the girls and Rylan just got over an ear infection with fevers up to 104! Whew! I am exhausted! However, this month Ava has changed so much! She went from being that newborn blob to suddenly having so much personality, grabbing things, and rolling over! Plus she is completely in-love with her big brother! She loves to watch him and just laughs and giggles at his silliness! The one thing she is not doing well is - eating solids! I started the cereal about a month ago and for two weeks she just spit it out and cried. So I quit for 2 weeks and started again this last week. Still not much luck, although less crying. Today we tried squash and she actually got a few spoonfuls down. Any advice from other moms is welcome! Rylan had no problems with solids at 4 months. Anyway, here are some recent photos!
